VLA Staff Stories
This Giving Tuesday, invest in justice for Vermonters!
This Giving Tuesday, Vermont Legal Aid (VLA) is asking you to support our work to advance social, racial, and economic justice for Vermonters who need it most.
For more than 50 years, VLA has been providing free civil legal services to low-income Vermonters. Each year, we help thousands of Vermonters who cannot afford an attorney. Navigating legal issues without resources, knowledge, or experience can be terrifying and overwhelming. Without legal support, vulnerable populations may be at risk of losing legal rights, benefits, or relief they would otherwise be eligible for or entitled to. Moreover, without legal assistance or representation, vulnerable Vermonters are at risk. In addition to providing direct legal services to individuals in need, our staff work tirelessly to address systemic and institutional issues that adversely affect the everyday lives of the communities we serve.
With the help of community members like you, VLA has been able to provide critical legal support to thousands of Vermonters each year so that they don’t have to fight alone. To get a more personal sense of who we serve and how our work impacts those who turn to us for help, please visit the following pages to learn about our client stories:
Your support is needed now more than ever. Please make a tax-deductible gift of any amount. Every bit helps, whether it’s $10 or simply sharing our Giving Tuesday campaign with your network. Your generosity allows us to continue our very important work providing advocacy, resources, and legal assistance to Vermonters in need.
