Working to Protect Immigrant Families

As of July 2026, our Immigrant Minor Guardianship Project has helped 198 children by giving parents peace of mind and a plan for their children's care in the event they are detained or deported. Read more about the project in this SevenDays article.

Vermont Legal Aid continues to host monthly guardianship clinics to help immigrant families prepare for the future, but there remains a significant funding gap to sustain and expand this critical work.
