Vermont Long Term Care Ombudsman

The Vermont Ombudsman Project (VOP) protects the health, welfare and rights of people who live in long term care facilities, including nursing homes, residential care homes and assisted living residences.  It also helps people who receive long term care services in their homes through Choices for Care (CFC).The project improves Vermont’s long term care system through individual complaint resolution, education and administrative and legislative advocacy.The work of the LTCO is supported by an active group of certified volunteers. Eligibility:

  • The project provides services to individuals receiving long-term care in Vermont without regard to income or resources.
